I hope you are all doing well! I hope you are enjoying the cozy Fall weather, with changing colours and leaves and warm hot chocolate (I'm not on that Pumpkin Spice hype, but you do you girl)!
Today, I'm back with another instalment of my wardrobe favorites! I love sharing my favorite pieces with you all, because you can see what I think about when picking my outfits! It's almost a behind-the-scenes, so I hope you've been enjoying them as well!
For today's episode - I just really wanted to say that, made me feel like I'm hosting a TV show or something LOL. This time, I'm sharing my love for blazers with you all!
Blazers were always thought of as something you'd only wear for a professional setting, and they're boring and unflattering. I know I used to think this as well. But, blazers are totally a fashion staple and great for layering. They're no longer restricted to business formal events and come in a lot of colours, lengths, and designs! I have a tuxedo style blazer that is really long and has shoulder pads, and I never knew how to wear it. Now, whenever I do, I always get so many compliments. Times and styles change, and this one is definitely for the better!
You can also get blazer-style vests. I know I already did a post about how I love maxi vests, but I had to do a separate posts for my blazers and blazer-style vests. In this outfit, I'm wearing this one from The Hijab Souq - and when I saw it go up on the website, I jumped to get it! I'm not even kidding!
Unfortunately, it's sold out right now, but The Hijab Souq has tons of similar options and long sleeves and long blazers as well! You saw Shumaila aka Shumi Dee style the White Open Cardigan in the last Aspiring Muslimah (she looked 🔥 as always) and there's many other colours in the same blazer!
So with this white printed vest, I decided to use the three other colours on the vest to decide the rest of my outfit. Hence, I went for a pink tshirt underneath, black pants, and of course, my other wardrobe favorite, a mauve crinkled hijab!
I love how the print of this vest is a different spin to the popular palm print! This outfit is easily one of my favorites, so simple yet classy.
Hope you like this outfit!

🎀~Where Style and Modesty Save the Day!~🎀
Hope you’re having an amazing FRIDAY!
In todays post I will be taking you through two trends that I have been seeing everywhere this year and absolutely loving! I thought I would try them out and here is what I came up with!
The first trend is ‘matching sets or co-ords’. I see these all over instagram, mostly in neutrals and I am obsessed.
If you haven’t seen what I am talking about yet then here are a few photos!
I haven’t yet found a ‘matching set’ that I like or that fits right so I decided to just find something in my closet! I paired together this Open Maxi Cardi from ’The Hijab Souq’ and these white trousers I found at ‘Forever21’.
The second trend Ive been seeing everywhere are the Jean Overalls/Dungarees. Its not so much a new trend as it is a comeback from the 70’s. This comeback I am loooving. I am still on the lookout for a dark set of overalls so let me know if you guys have seen any around!
I have styled these light wash dungarees with this thick maxi cardigan and a pair of kitten heels. I love this look for the fall season, add a dark lip and you are good to go!
I hope you guys get some inspiration :)
Check out the outfits in action in this video:
See you in the next one! xx Shumidee
For today's outfit post I went with a completely neutral look, because who doesn't love neutrals!? I'm not one to shy away from color, but I do like to switch it up. Also, neutral clothing items really help to make the perfect mix and match wardrobe.
I made the Relaxed Pearls Hijab from The Hijab Souq the focal points of the outfit, since it has the absolutely gorgeous pearl and chain border. This hijab helps to give this outfit a slightly dressy, yet still very casual look, which I love.
The basis of the outfit consists of a white t-shirt and jeans (which is typical with most of my outfits), and I added the Vela Beige Kimono, which works perfectly with this simple outfit.
I wore a pair of heels that matched the belt, and my crossbody bucket bag color coordinated with the hijab (I cant help it, I have to match). Also, going with the matching theme I added some bangles and pearl bracelets to match the pearl hijab.
Even though this outfit has a summer feel to it, I consider it to be a fall transition outfit, because its still hot here, and it probably wont be cooling down to sweater weather for awhile here, sadly. For those of you who live up north and actually get to have real fall weather- make sure you enjoy it!
My oh, my! How are my beautiful ladies doing? I hope all of you are well and in good health Inshallah (God Willing). I also hope everyone had an amazing Eid-Al-Adha, and whoever went for Hajj (Holy Pilgrimage) returned safely home to their loved ones Inshallah (God Willing). And lastly…HAPPY FALL.
I know I have been a busy bee for a while, but that’s not an excuse! I am actually so thrilled to share this post with you because it has been QUITE an adventure with this blog post (ladies, you have no idea). BUT! Being the crazy perfectionist that I am, and the insane wind I was dealing with (and rain)..I DID IT.
I believe we have officially entered “Fall” today. That fall crisp air, smell of fresh wood, and that chilly breeze was all there (minus the rain). All I am waiting for is for the trees to finally change colors, because that beauty always strikes me Subhanallah (Glory be to God). With that said, I am honored (again) to say that here is another Collaboration with the most talented HIjab companies ever, The Hijab Souq (Keep it up Fatima).
Here ladies, the Hijab that I am wearing is from the “Radiant Pearls” Collection, in the color “Dark Red”. This piece, has pearls not only on one edge, but all around with a tiny chain detail. The Hijab is VERY wide (which is so helpful to keep a good coverage) and you can literally do any style without being concerned if your back/neck/hair is showing.
I did a simple draped Hijab, but had the pearls hang down my right shoulder so you ladies can see how beautifully it is made. And before you ladies ask me…”what about dark lips?!” I actually decided on a nice neutral tone, to balance it with the Hijab. Otherwise, Fall and Dark lips? Yes please.
I kept my outfit “All Black” ofcourse, because again I did not want to take any attention away from the Hijab. The Hijab is of linen & cotton blend, so totally breathable and comfortable for any season and occasion. This piece also comes in a variety of colors such as nude, yellow, blue, gray, beige, and black! To place your order visit http://www.thehijabsouq.com
Aaaaaand there you have it ladies of another wonderful collaboration, feel free to comment below I would love to hear your feed back as always! Much more to come soon Inshallah (God Willing).

It's been a while! School is back in full swing for those up North and life is back to reality!
I'm so happy to share another blogpost featuring a new wardrobe favourite: Crinkle hijabs 😍😍
Crinkle hijabs are super soft and easy to style, which is why they're perfect for long days of class or running errands! The crinkled texture is such a unique feature and totally enhances any outfit. They are definitely one of my favourites now!
I know H&M used to sell them, but I never saw any there, so I'm so glad The Hijab Souq has them, and in so many different colours! They are definitely more fun than a regular solid hijab.
You can do so much with a crinkle hijab and they look nice on everyone! You can even wear them around your neck for the upcoming Fall and Winter months - I know I definitely will!
One of my favourite ways to style my crinkle hijab is with a more trendy outfit. This time, I tried out a 90's look with an old Calvin Klein Jeans denim shirt, left open with a patched dress underneath. I love how the nature of this beautiful mauve hijab enhanced the colours from the dress and complimented the denim so well!
I hope you like how I styled my Mauve crinkle hijab! I definitely need to stock up on more colours! 💕🛍
Hope you liked this outfit! Remember, whenever you're trying a new trend or style, incorporate pieces that you know and love, so you're more comfortable in the new look! This outfit was a bit out of my comfort zone, but by adding a favourite hijab and my trusty black jeans, I was good to go! 💪🏽❤️

🎀~Where Style and Modesty Save the Day!~🎀
I just came back from my Honeymoon, in Bali, and wanted to share my favourite Hijabi friendly, vacay outfits with you!
The first outfit is this blue jumpsuit with a lightweight cardigan. I chose to pair this with the Gold Queen of Lace Hijab. This way the focus of this outfit was the jumpsuit. The lace and gold pearl detailing on the hijab fancies up the outfit perfectly for a night out!
This ‘top’, in the photos below, may look familiar to you, its actually the Blossom Hijab from The Hijab Souq! I used it to make a cover up style top and in these photos you can see how! This is perfect to do whilst travelling since you can use this one item of clothing 2 different ways!
Now here is my favourite piece of clothing; the White Open Cardigan. I was obsessed with it in lime green so I had to get it in white! I definitely over wore this during my vacay, it works well in the warm weather since its long and hijab friendly but its also super light and breezy so it doesn’t get too hot!
Lastly, this was my casual beach outfit. I love the colours and print on this chiffon maxi cardigan, it photographed really well! I paired this with a nude inner, tights and the Beige Solid Jersey hijab.
Neutral pieces are the most important part of my wardrobe. I can’t wait to take these items into the upcoming fall season!
Hope you guys liked the post! We would love to see some comments :)
Welcome back to Aspiring Muslimah. My look today is on "Neutrals & Pearls"
Okay, honestly this look was SO difficult for me to handle, because I cannot pull of neutrals *tear*. No matter HOW much I have tried, I just cannot! Some tips ladies?! Nothing wrong in learning some neutral tone tips ahhhhh. Even though during this photo-shoot I did get compliments BUT still (oh the things I do for you ladies❤ ).
Re-introducing the one and only…The Hijab Souq❤ Do I really have to tell you ladies (again) on how GREAT their Hijabs are?! Mashallah.
The Hijab I am wearing here is the “Beige Pearl Hijab”.This is probably the most Summer friendly Hijab I own, literally. A very breathable-light-weight-cotton fabric, with hand-beaded single pearls attached all along the width of the Hijab.
I always like to keep my Hijab styles very simple, but elegant and thats exactly what I did here. I thought to myself “how can I really show these pearls, but in a different way?” Voila! Looks like a side braid doesn’t it?! I cannot tell you ladies how much I adore it (I love how I’m complimenting myself). But the secret is…it’s not a braid! And guess what…if you ladies REALLY like this Hijab look, I can do my first “official” Hijab tutorial woohoo! Just comment below.
As for my outfit, I did not want to take any attention away from the Hijab so I did a simple white button down top from H&M, gaucho pants from H&M, nude heels from Charlotte Russe, Chanel handbag from Chanel and some of my basic accessories.
And that’s a wrap my loves❤ Feel free to comment below. To get your own Pearl Hijab and many other Hijabs visit, http://www.thehijabsouq.com
Much, Much Love❤
Salaams all you lovely ladies!
What is your favorite color to wear in the summer? Mine would have to be white because 1. its HOT outside, like 100 or higher everyday, so white just makes sense, and 2. white matches just about everything.
I like to think of white as a blank canvas. You can add whatever colors you like to it and it will match. For this outfit I really wanted a pop of color, and I got just that by pairing this Festival Hijab from The Hijab Souq with this outfit. This hijab is so much fun, its bursting with color, it has different patterns, and it even has colorful tassels attached! My mind was racing with different possibilities of how to wear this hijab. It has so much potential to make an outfit, so I decided to make it the focal point by pairing it with the all white outfit.
White pants, white high slit maxi top, and some gold and druzy accessories. How could I not wear a bright hijab? Since its so hot out I wore it as a turban. To add a little extra color I wore a pair of bright floral wedges that were similar in color to the hijab.
Mixing prints is possible when you follow a few simple rules. For this look the base colors are the same, the hijab and the shoes are the same colors, and the prints are separated by a solid color, so it works.
I finished the look by adding a bright pink lipstick.
You can click HERE to get a closer look at the Festival Hijab. This scarf would also make the perfect neck scarf- either hanging loose in the front, or wrapped once around the neck.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
